Frederick Elementary School: 2026 - 2027

Mission: The mission of the Frederick Elementary School is to build a joyful learning community where the whole child – mind, body, and spirit – is nurtured through a safe, inclusive & multilingual environment. Students, families, staff and community members collaborate to show C.A.R.E. (community/komunidadi, advokasia/advocacy, risponsabilidadi/responsibility, and empathy/enpatia), so that all children excel socially and academically in order to contribute in their communities.

Vision: As the Frederick Elementary School grows, co-planning & co-teaching practices will ensure that students thrive academically and socially in inclusive environments, bilingualism particularly Cabo Verdean Kriolu/Kriolu Kaboverdianu & English is nurtured & cultivated, where restorative practices ground interactions that promote problem solving and growth, and home-school partnerships honor the brilliance and integral contributions of families, Grove Hall and our neighboring communities. All members are recognized for their contributions while being provided with care and support to develop their skills.
